About the Farsley Festival

The Farsley Festival is a free annual event that brings together families from Farsley, Calverley, Pudsey, Rodley, and beyond for a full day of fun, creativity, and connection. The festival features a diverse lineup of live music from local bands and choirs, dance groups, brass bands, and popular circus-style entertainers. Visitors can also enjoy live theatre performances, mesmerizing walkabout artists and more!

Creative minds of all ages can get involved in crafts, games, and a cardboard city, while open spaces provide a relaxed setting for a picnic with food brought from home or delicious treats available from local street food vendors.

A highlight of the festival will be the community art project — a collaborative effort involving local schools and community groups in the months leading up to the event. Their collective creations will be unveiled at the festival, showcasing the creativity and unity of the Farsley community.

Can you support the Farsley Festival?

This much loved annual event has been taking place every summer since 2004 and is completely organised and ran by a small group of 8 local volunteers who, each year: raise funds throughout the year (including the very popular Christmas Tree Collection service), seek sponsorship from local businesses, and apply for Leeds City Council Well-Being funding to enable this event to be free to the community of Farsley and surrounding areas.

Sponsorship and support is critical to the success and delivery of this event, enabling us to continue offering the varied array of entertainments at the festival, and ensuring it remains free and as inclusive for all.
